Dear Friends and Family!

“He will care for the needy and neglected when they cry to him for help. The humble and helpless will know his kindness, for with a father’s compassion he will save their souls. They will be rescued from tyranny and torture, for their lifeblood is precious in his eyes.” Psalm 72:12-14

One child matters. I think about my life alone, and how God pursued me, and has used me/is using me to impact the world around me. Then I think about the influence that could be on the other side of anyONE’s life if they simply allowed God to do the same, or were provided an opportunity to do the same. You are a one. I am a one. God loved us both enough to meet us where we were at and give us a life and a future that we could never dream of or imagine. We believe our church is made up of individuals, ONES, who have been set apart by God to be his hands and feet in the world around us, and to extend to others what he has extended to us. In the gospels, we read about how Jesus left the 99 to go after the 1; not because he loved or cared for the ONE more than he loved or cared for the 99, but because every ONE of the 100 mattered to him.

As a church, we have committed to going after the “ONES” and have partnered with OneChild — an international child development ministry to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of children living in poverty. The children that are sponsored from People Church will be empowered to rise above their circumstances and reach their God-given potential in Christ. We are going to contribute toward their faith, education, health, and community, and believe that they too will impact the world around them. There’s real power in one person reaching out to one child through sponsorship — power that changes both lives!
